Involvement and Empowerment Day


I_.jpgG3's Involvement and Empowerment Day took place on Friday 12th June 2009 from 11am - 3pm.

 

 

 

youngglos09.jpgPrior to the event Young Gloucestershire brought along a Princes Trust Team (PTV) and made a fantastic job of cleaning, tiding and painting the garden at The Old School House. All the volunteers worked extremely hard, and G3 thank them for their efforts.

The Involvement and Empowerment day was a great success with lots of G3 residents, other young people, agencies and local businesses attending.

increasethepeace.JPGThe G-City Increase the Peace Project, managed by Delroy Ellis, attended the event and carried out music and dance performances. Members of the project also facilitated dance and music workshops. G3 would like to thank the G-City Increase the Peace Project for helping to make the event a success.

Other agencies that attended the event, and provided information to young people included;

There was lots to do at the event including pottery, african drumming, nail art, massage, henna tattooing and delicious food was provided by Carribbean Wrap, Gloucester.

The Involvement and Empowerment Event took place to give G3 residents the choice to get involved in shaping services that they use which will empower them in their future.
