Benefits of Working for Us
Benefits, to us, means much more than salary (Financial Benefits) and takes account of people's differing needs.
Competitive Salaries
We believe in recognising the hard work of our staff by remunerating them with competitive salaries which are reviewed annually. The salary is determined by the grade of the post to which you are appointed.
Generous Holiday Entitlement
Holiday entitlement for all staff starts at 25 days per year (pro rata for part time employees). With each completed year of service the entitlement increases by 1 day up to a maximum of 30 days.
Public and Bank Holidays
Employees are entitled to all statutory bank and public holidays (pro rata for part time staff). If you are required to work on a bank or public holiday as part of the rota system, this will be treated as overtime at your normal salary and you will be entitled to take time off in lieu at a time agreed with your manager.
Probationary Period
All new staff are subject to a six month probationary period which allows you and G3 to assess your suitability to the job. Further details will be given on appointment.
Excellent Group Personal Pension Scheme
The Group Personal Pension Scheme is one to which G3 will contribute on the condition that the employee contributes a minimum of 3% of their monthly salary. Eligible staff who have successfully completed 3 months service are able to join the scheme.
A comprehensive induction, training and development programme
We are committed to developing our staff. We recognise how important a proper induction is for new employees both within the role you'll be working in and the wider organisation. You'll have regular 6 weekly supervision sessions with your manager to see how things are going and all new starters as part of their induction will have the opportunity to meet a wide range of staff throughout the organisation. In the longer term you will be supported with the training and development you need to do the job.
Flexible Employment Practices
We encourage flexible working aimed at supporting individual employee requirements whilst meeting organisational needs. Schemes in place include part time work and job sharing. The extent of the flexible options available depends upon the service that the role delivers.
Family Friendly Policies
These include compassionate leave (discretionary), maternity leave, paternity leave, adoption leave, parental leave, time off for dependants and the right to request flexible working.
Staff Forum
We are committed to providing a positive working environment and believe that involving staff in important organisational decisions is a key factor in achieving this. Therefore, a Staff Forum exists and you may raise any queries you may have about anything to do with your employment through your staff representative.
Convenient Location of Work
All G3 work locations are conveniently situated near shops, local amenities and transport connections, whether you are working in Gloucester, Lydney, Cinderford or Tewkesbury.
